The reason behind my focus on moms and grandmothers is deeply personal. Growing up, my mom avoided being in front of the camera, resulting in only a handful of photos of her throughout my life. This reluctance has influenced my own preference to stay behind the lens. However, as a mother myself, I’m determined to break this cycle. I want my children to have abundant images of me showering them with love long after I’m gone.
Through years of capturing family moments, I’ve encountered numerous individuals who share similar regrets. Many wish they had taken portraits sooner, especially with their aging parents and grandparents. My most cherished sessions are those spanning multiple generations. Witnessing the interplay between family members, particularly the joy older relatives find in being part of the experience, fills me with happiness.
