Post Production Style Description

Post Production Style Description is one of my favorite parts of the photography process. This is when I get to see the images for the first time and start working on making them look their best. For my clients, this is always an exciting time because they get to see their images! In this blog post, I will discuss the different post production steps that I use.

Post Production Style Description Raw Image Selection and Preparation

One of the most important steps in post production is going thru the raw images and eliminating. I eliminate images that are not flattering, awkward facial expressions, blurry, red eye, etc. The next step is color correction. This step is necessary to make sure that the colors in your images are accurate and consistent. I use a tool called Adobe Photoshop Lightroom to do my color corrections. I love Lightroom because it allows me to make very precise adjustments to the colors in the images.

Post Production Style Description: Ordering Appointment

The most exciting part of the session process for clients, and the most difficult at times. Clients go through all of the photos one by one, deciding which ones they absolutely love.

Next, clients choose how they want to display their portraits. Some customers enjoy a beautiful photo album  with matching grand parent albums and wall art in specific parts of their home. Others may go for collections. After the order is finalized, we begin the editing process! All wall art portraits will have detail retouching as part of the Master Retouching service.

We then go through each image one final time to obtain further client feedback on details in each photo as well as any additional information regarding them that they may want addressed. This might range from a pimple removal to loose hairs, among other things.

Here are three images that show the progression from a raw image to ordering an appointment, and then to a completely retouched portrait better understanding Post Production Style Description
