It is close enough to Austin to stay connected to the city, but life here tends to revolve around Lake Travis, family, outdoor spaces, and the quieter pace of an established lakeside community.
For the families I photograph, portraits are often less about checking something off a list and more about creating something beautiful enough to become part of the home they have worked hard to build.

I guide the experience from beginning to end.
Depending on the session, that can include wardrobe planning, access to my curated client wardrobe, professional hair and makeup, and detailed posing and facial expression coaching throughout the portrait experience.
I am watching posture, hands, body angles, expression, and connection so you are not left wondering whether something is working.
The goal is polished portraiture that feels elevated without becoming stiff or overly formal.

A family portrait should look refined, but it should still feel like your family.
I guide the composition carefully, refine posture, adjust hands, and make sure everyone is photographed from a flattering angle. At the same time, I am paying attention to the expressions and relationships that make the image feel personal rather than overly arranged.
Children do not need to perform perfectly for the camera. Some are outgoing immediately. Others need more time. I adapt to the family in front of me rather than expecting every child to respond the same way.
The finished collection should feel polished enough to become artwork while still showing the connection between the people in it.

Lakeway and the Lake Travis Lifestyle
Lakeway developed around Lake Travis and still carries a distinctly lakeside identity. The City of Lakeway describes the community as an upscale lakeside city that began as a retirement and second-home destination and has evolved into a community that also attracts families, young professionals, and active empty-nesters.
The lake is only part of that identity. Lakeway maintains a network of parks and trails, including Lakeway City Park, Hamilton Greenbelts I and II, Dragon Park, Canyonlands, and several other green spaces throughout the community.
Hamilton Greenbelt alone includes several miles of developed and primitive trails along Hurst and Yaupon creeks, while Lakeway City Park offers 64 acres along Hurst Creek Cove on Lake Travis.
That combination of lake access, green space, established neighborhoods, and proximity to Austin is part of what gives Lakeway a very different family identity from communities farther inland.

Lakeway Maternity Photography
Pregnancy is one of those chapters that changes everything around it.
My maternity portrait sessions are designed so you can step into the experience without needing to figure out how to pose your changing body, which wardrobe photographs best, or what expression will feel natural in front of the camera.
I guide posing, posture, movement, hands, and facial expression throughout the session. Professional hair and makeup and access to my curated client wardrobe can also be incorporated into the experience.
Partners and children are welcome when you want the portraits to reflect the family waiting for this baby, not only the pregnancy itself.

Lakeway Newborn Photography
The first weeks with a newborn are full of details that feel impossible to forget until, somehow, they are difficult to remember clearly.
My newborn portrait experience is intentionally slower and carefully guided, with a strong emphasis on safe newborn posing and thoughtful handling.
I photograph babies individually as well as with parents and siblings when families want the full story of this new chapter.
Parents are guided just as carefully. I help with body position, hands, expression, and connection so you do not need to arrive feeling rested or camera-ready. That would be a fairly unreasonable expectation with a newborn.

Lake Travis ISD and School Boundaries
Lake Travis Independent School District serves Lakeway and surrounding Lake Travis communities, and the city’s own community information highlights LTISD as one of the reasons families are drawn to the area.
That does not mean every family should assume a particular campus based only on a Lakeway mailing address. Attendance assignments should always be confirmed using the family’s exact property address and the district’s current boundary information.
This is especially important in a growing area where attendance zones can change as new campuses and residential communities are added.
Portraits Designed for the Home
I do not believe the most important image from your session should spend its life buried in a digital gallery.
The portraits we create can become custom wall artwork, albums, and heirloom pieces designed specifically for your home.
For many Lakeway families, that is an important part of the experience. The artwork should feel considered in the same way the home itself does, with size, placement, and presentation chosen intentionally rather than left to chance.
The goal is not simply to create a beautiful photograph today. It is to create something that becomes more valuable as the people in it change.
A Natural Fit for Multi-Generational Portraits
Lakeway’s mix of families, active empty-nesters, and long-time residents also makes it a natural place for multi-generational portraiture.
When grandparents, adult children, and grandchildren can all be photographed together, I create the larger family portrait as well as smaller groupings so each relationship has a place in the final collection.
Those are often the photographs whose importance grows the fastest.
