Family portraits should feel polished without becoming stiff.
I will absolutely guide the composition, refine posture, adjust hands, and make sure everyone looks their best. But I am also paying attention to the relationships between those carefully arranged moments.
Children rarely need more pressure in front of a camera. Some warm up immediately. Some need a little time. Some would much rather move than stand exactly where an adult has asked them to stand.
I work with the child in front of me rather than expecting every family to behave the same way.
The goal is a collection of portraits with beautiful light, thoughtful posing, and genuine connection. They should look elevated enough to become artwork while still feeling very much like your family.
Round Rock Is Built Around Family Life
Round Rock has grown considerably beyond its earlier identity as an Austin suburb. The City of Round Rock estimated its population at 142,994 in August 2026, and the city now supports its own substantial mix of neighborhoods, employment, healthcare, recreation, and community life.
For families, parks and recreation are a particularly visible part of the city. Round Rock currently maintains 37 developed parks spanning more than 2,300 acres, along with trail corridors and community recreation facilities.
Old Settlers Park is perhaps the best-known example. The large park serves as a center for youth sports, community events, trails, playgrounds, and family recreation. It is also one reason the city’s “Sports Capital of Texas” identity feels considerably more grounded than a marketing nickname pasted onto a webpage.
That active family rhythm is one reason family portraiture fits Round Rock so naturally. The years are full here, which makes having something tangible that marks a particular season even more meaningful.
The photographs become more meaningful as the people in them grow.

Pregnancy is one of the most visible transformations a family goes through and one of the easiest to underestimate while you are living in it.
My maternity portrait sessions are designed to let you step out of the planning for a little while and simply be guided.
I help with wardrobe selection, posing, hands, posture, movement, and facial expression so you never need to wonder whether something is flattering or what you should do next.
Professional hair and makeup and access to my curated client wardrobe can be incorporated into the experience, and partners and children can be included when you want the portraits to document the family that is growing around this pregnancy.

Round Rock Newborn Photography
The newborn stage asks a lot of parents while giving them remarkably little time to notice how quickly it is disappearing.
My newborn portrait experience is intentionally slower and carefully guided, with a strong emphasis on safe newborn posing and creating beautiful portraits of the baby both alone and with the people who already love them most.
Parents and siblings are welcome to be included, because the arrival of a baby changes the entire family, not simply the person in the smallest outfit.
I guide parent posing, hand placement, connection, and expression just as carefully as I pose the baby.

Round Rock ISD and Local School Boundaries
Round Rock Independent School District serves many families throughout Round Rock and the surrounding area, but the city name alone does not determine a child’s assigned campus.
Round Rock ISD uses specific district and school attendance boundaries and directs families to verify the schools assigned to their individual home address. The district also distinguishes between families living within RRISD boundaries and those applying from outside the district.
That is an important distinction in a city this large. Round Rock includes numerous elementary, middle, and high school attendance areas, so I would never tell a family that a particular neighborhood automatically attends one campus without checking the current address-based boundary.
A City That Is More Than a Bedroom Community
Round Rock is still closely connected to Austin, but it has developed a substantial economy of its own.
Dell Technologies has maintained its global headquarters in Round Rock for decades and remained the city’s largest employer in 2025. The city also identifies healthcare, technology, retail, and other major employers as significant parts of the local economy.
That combination of established neighborhoods, growing families, major employers, schools, sports, and recreation gives Round Rock an identity that deserves more than generic “north of Austin” copy.
