Where do family sessions take place?

Family sessions can be photographed in my Austin studio, outdoors in the Austin/Round Rock/Cedar Park/Georgetown area, or on private ranch property if your family owns land. Each setting offers something different — studio for polished, timeless portraits, and outdoors for movement, texture, and natural light.

When should we book our family session?

Most families book 3–4 weeks ahead so there’s enough time for planning, wardrobe coordination, and securing the perfect session date. Fall is the busiest season — September through December often books months in advance — so reserving early is always recommended.

Yes — and I highly encourage it. Pets are an important part of the family, and whether we photograph indoors or outdoors, I’ll help guide posing and create images that feel genuine and joyful.

Do you retouch the images?

Yes. Every selected image receives expert retouching, including skin refinement, flyaway removal, cleanup of small distractions, wardrobe fixes, and gentle enhancement to ensure everyone looks their best. For children, I can composite multiple frames for the perfect grouping, especially when little ones are active and expressive.
